Over past years, Annual Postgraduate Research Festivals have provided candidates with a friendly and collaborative environment in which to hone presentational skills and receive invaluable on-the-spot feedback from staff and peers alike.

Faculty of Human Sciences

HDR Showcase 2009

The new Faculty of Human Sciences is planning to build on the outstanding success of past Postgraduate Research Festivals. Under the new name of 'HDR Showcase', this year's event will take place in the U@MQ Building, Macquarie University from Monday 23rd to Wednesday 25th November 2009. Division of Linguistics and Psychology

Postgraduate Research Festival December 2008

Held at Macquarie University on 8th and 9th December, the Division of Linguistics and Psychology Postgraduate Research Festival 2008 was the Division's last major event prior to its incorporation into the new Faculty of Human Sciences on 1st January 2009. The Festival program showcased research from over 180 postgraduate research candidates, and another 50 postgraduate e-Presentations. The Vice-Chancellor presented the following awards on behalf of the Division:

Postgraduate Students' Annual Conference November 2008

The final ACES Postgraduate Students’ Annual Conference was well attended by academic staff and HDR candidates. The standard of presentations was very high. Educational Research at Macquarie Volume 3, the annual research digest of the Australian Centre for Educational Studies, was launched at the meeting. The following awards were presented to candidates and staff:
