Childrearing experts: Who to believe?

Childrearing experts: Who to believe?

Raising children for the next generation to become responsible, concerned and happy individuals is possibly the most important job we have. Not surprisingly then, there is endless advice on how to do it.

Should you, as a parent, teacher or carer be strict, permissive, demanding, accepting, sensitive, responsive, consistent, protective or not protective? Unfortunately, the advice is often inconsistent, so much so that the best response sometimes is to ignore it.

Why you should attend

This lecture will help you gain confidence to make informed decisions in bringing up children under your care. You will:
  • Gain insights into how you should respond to prolific expert opinions that currently exist about child development.
  • Find out if one size or 'advice' fits all, at all times and in all situations.
  • Learn about different areas, like moral behaviour, and how you can achieve the results you would like for your child.
